Zero Tolerance Policy of Workplace Violence

In order to protect our employees from being physically or verbally abused in the workplace, PTS hereby declares in writing that it will not tolerate any bullying or abuse by management. In addition, we will not tolerate any violence conducted against our employees by anybody.

A. Definition of Workplace Violence: An incident, in which a worker is abused, threatened or attacked in a work-related setting (including commuting) in such a way that there is an explicit or implicit challenge to their safety, well-being or health.

B. Behavioral patterns of workplace violence:

  1. Physical abuse (eg: beating, scratching, punching, kicking, etc.).
  2. Psychological abuse (eg: threats, bullying, harassment, verbal abuse, etc.).
  3. Verbal abuse (eg: bullying, intimidation, discrimination, etc.).
  4. Sexual harassment (eg: inappropriate sexual advances and behaviors, etc.).
  5. Stalking.

C. What to do when encountering workplace violence:

  1. Seek advice and support from colleagues.
  2. Communicate with the perpetrator to try and resolve the source of conflict.
  3. Think about your own shortcomings, ask colleagues to honestly evaluate your personality and work performance.
  4. Record the perpetrator’s actions as evidence.
  5. File a grievance with the company.

D. All employees have the responsibility in creating a safe workplace. Anyone who witnesses and hears workplace violence should immediately notify their supervisors or call the employee complaint hotline. The investigation will be conducted in a confidential manner. Allegations that are confirmed to be true will be handled with swift discipline.

E. The company absolutely prohibits any act of retaliation against the victim, the informant or people assisting in investigations. These actions will not go unpunished.

F. PTS encourages colleagues to use the internal complaint system to deal with abuse and harassment. If employees need additional assistance, PTS will provide it.

Declaration of Labour Rights and Business Ethics

PTS respects human rights, aims at sustainable development of the enterprise, upholds the spirit of honest management, maintains good corporate governance, strictly abides by business ethics, follow the RBA (Responsible Business Alliance) Code of Conduct, the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Labour Organization’s Declaration of Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, and the fundamental principles of safeguarding the rights of employees. Our values do not stop at our company. We expect our suppliers, outsourcers, contractors and other contractual partners or customers to abide by them.

Labor Human Rights Policy:

  1. Respect the rights and interests of workers to freely choose their occupations, eliminate forced labor, and do not use involuntary, enslaved or trafficked labor.
  2. Prohibit the use of child labour and abide by the local laws and regulations.
  3. Create a good working environment by providing a good wage and working hour system.
  4. Any form of violence, including physical or verbal harassment, is strictly prohibited.
  5. There will be no discrimination or differential treatment in recruitment, promotion, evaluation, etc. due to age, race, social class, nationality, religious beliefs, disabilities, gender, gender orientation, union memberships, and government affiliations.
  6. Respect the freedom of association of laborers, and employees may seek labor representatives and participate in various peaceful assembly rights according to their wishes.

Business Ethics Policy:

  1. Any form of corruption, bribery, collusion, extortion and embezzlement of public funds are prohibited. Monitor and establish procedures to ensure compliance with ethical business practices.
  2. In order to maintain fair trade practices, PTS has put an end to joint monopoly and other unethical business practices.
  3. Disclose information about the company’s business activities, conditions and other business performances in accordance with regulations and industry practices.
  4. Respect intellectual property rights and the development and creative ideas of oneself and others. Fulfill confidentiality responsibilities for sensitive information, documents and assets related to client exchanges. Violators will be dealt with in accordance with local laws and regulations.
  5. Encourage and provide multiple channels for anonymous stakeholder suggestions and feedback.
  6. In order to ensure that we do not purchase conflict minerals and accidentally obtain their derivative metals, such as tantalum (Ta), tin (Sn), tungsten (W), gold (Au), etc., PTS follows the regulations formulated by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) due diligence framework for responsible supply chains of minerals from conflict-affected and high-risk areas.
  7. When collecting, storing, processing, transmitting, and sharing personal information, abide by the laws and regulations related to privacy and information security, and keep the personal information of all stakeholders in business transactions confidential.
